Formerly the Sockeye Hotel, The Steveston Hotel
was established in 1895 at the corner of 3rd Avenue and Moncton
in the village of Steveston. The Hotel has always been a popular
meeting place for the local residents, fishermen and visitors.
The Steveston Hotel has had a very colorful past. In July
1900, during the fishing strike, the hotel was home to the
Duke of Connaught’s troops and is one of the few buildings
to survive the fire of May 1918.
Today , the Steveston Hotel continues to change with the time.
The 24 rooms have been recently renovated & tastefully
decorated with the charm and comfort to compliment your needs.
All rooms come with Daily Maid Service. You may also enjoy

handicap parking located in back of the hotel along with daily
parking spot rentals of $7.00/day for guests travelling to
other destinations and returning to Richmond.

stroll through Garry Point Park, buying fresh fish and seafood
at the local Sail's Wharf or head across the street to visit
the Gulf of Georgia Cannery Historical Site.
